- Administrative/biographical history:
- An earlier Jewish settlement in Nymburk came to an end after the expulsion of Jews in 1541. It was not until the 1830s that Jews were allowed to live there. As part of the Jewish Religious Community of Kovanice, a prayer association probably existed there before 1875. A religious community was established in Nymburk in 1893. It incorporated the area of the disbanded Jewish Religious Community of Rožďalovice in 1925. The community was disbanded by the Nazis during the Second World War and did not subsequently resume its activities.
