The fonds also contains the accounting records of charitable foundations and a cash book of the local Bikur Cholim Association, which were kept until 1940.
- Archival history:
- The records were incorporated into the archives of the Jewish Museum in Prague during the Second World War as part of shipments of material from Jewish religious communities that had been disbanded.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Jewish settlement in Mladá Boleslav is documented from the third quarter of the 15th century. The town was a prominent centre of Jewish scholarship and education in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. From the 16th century, at the latest, there was a Jewish religious community there, which founded its own museum in 1922. The area of the disbanded Jewish religious communities of Libáň and Mnichovo Hradiště was allotted to the community in 1932 and 1932 respectively. The community was disbanded by the Nazis during the Second World War and did not subsequently resume its activities.
