- The fonds contains the statutes of the Jewish Religious Community of Mělník (1876–1878), wedding contracts, files of a Jewish school, statutes of the burial society (Chevra kadisha) (1867- 1878), and a list of buried persons. It also contains a burial register and lists of graves (up to 1941).
- Archival history:
- The records were sent to the archives of the Jewish Museum in Prague during the Second World War as part of shipments of material from Jewish religious communities that had been disbanded.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The earliest history of Jewish settlement in Mělník is very unclear; its beginnings date from the 15th century, but it was not until the mid-19th century that it expanded. A prayer association was established at that time, becoming a religious community in 1864. The community was disbanded by the Nazis during the Second World War and did not subsequently resume its activities.
