- Administrative/biographical history:
- Some of the Jewish families that had been expelled from Litoměřice allegedly settled in Lovosice as early as the 16th century. A Jewish settlement certainly existed there, however, at the start of the 17th century. A Jewish religious community was established in Litoměřice in 1688. Its area was officially designated in 1893. It incorporated the area of the disbanded Jewish Religious Community of Třebívlice in 1924. The Lovosice community was disbanded after the annexation of the Sudetenland by Nazi Germany in 1938 and did not resume its activities after the Second World War.
