- The records were incorporated into the archives of the Jewish Museum in Prague during the Second World War as part of shipments of material from Jewish religious communities that had been disbanded.

- Jewish settlement in Ledeč nad Sázavou is documented from the start of the 16th century. A Jewish religious community existed there, at the latest, from the start of the 17th century. It was disbanded by the Nazis during the Second World War and did not subsequently resume its activities.
