- Scope and content:
- The fonds contains election records, financial records, synagogue seating plans, documents of the burial society (chevra kadisha), a cemetery layout plan, and records of the affiliated community of Zbraslavice. It also contains registers of the burial society (chevra kadisha) from the period of Nazi Occupation, including lists of the dead and a list of the buried (1939–1940) and a cash book, which was kept until 1939. There are also fragmentary files of the burial society and of a local women's association from the same period.
- Archival history:
- The records were incorporated into the archives of the Jewish Museum in Prague during the Second World War as part of shipments of material from Jewish religious communities that had been disbanded.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Jewish settlement in Kutná Hora existed as early as the Middle Ages. Jews were not allowed to live in the town from 1568 until 1848. A prayer association was established in 1871, forming into a religious community in 1893. The community was disbanded by the Nazis during the Second World War and did not subsequently resume its activities.
