- Administrative/biographical history:
- A ban on Jews settling in Karlovy Vary remained in place until 1849. A Jewish prayer association was established there in 1864, becoming a religious community in 1869. The Karlovy Vary community incorporated the area of the disbanded Jewish Religious Community of Bečov nad Teplou in 1931. The community was disbanded after the annexation of the Sudetenland by Nazi Germany in 1938 but resumed its activities after the Second World War.
