- The fonds contains fragmentary records: a register of synagogue seats, registers of a Jewish school, and a register of the burial society (chevra kadisha).
- Archival history:
- The records were incorporated into the archives of the Jewish Museum in Prague during the Second World War as part of shipments of material from Jewish religious communities that had been disbanded.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Jews were already living in Humpolec by the end of the 14th century. They were subsequently expelled. The presence of a new settlement is documented as late as the 17th century. A Jewish religious community was established there in the first half of the 18th century. It was disbanded by the Nazis during the Second World War and did not subsequently resume its activities.
