- This fonds contains 18th-century book of takkanot, the community's statutes, meeting minutes, banns registers (1891–1940), financial files, synagogue seats records, documents relating to the local Jewish school, the 1876 statutes and other records of the burial society (including graves register/ register of graves), and documents relating to the local Jewish women's association.
- Archival history:
- The records were incorporated into the archives of the Jewish Museum in Prague during the Second World War as part of shipments of material from Jewish religious communities that had been disbanded.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The Jewish community of Hranice existed from the 17th century until the Second World War. A synagogue congregation was founded after the Second World War (part of the Jewish Religious Community of Olomouc, after 1961 part of the the Jewish Religious Community of Ostrava), which was active until 1969.
