- The fonds contains an essay entitled “On the Teaching of Jewish Youth in the Middle Ages”, an extract from the Talmud with an interpretation ([1900]–1919).
- Archival history:
- The records were incorporated into the archives of the Jewish Museum in Prague during the Second World War as part of shipments of material from Jewish religious communities that had been disbanded.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Josef Žalud (born 12 March 1850, Stádlec, Bohemia, died 12 March 1923, Prague) attended secondary school in Tábor, South Bohemia, and studied law at Charles-Ferdinand University in Prague. He started a law practice and was also active as a journalist (legal studies, textbooks on the Jewish religion, translations). He was one of the founders of the Czech-Jewish Movement and became a member of the Bohemian Diet.
