- The fonds contains an inventory and appraisal of books in the estate of Wolfgang Wessely (1870).
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Wolfgang Wessely (1801, Třebíč-1870, Vienna) was a professor at Prague University and an adherent of the Wissenschaft des Judentums movement. After receiving a traditional education at yeshivot in Třebíč, Polná and Prague, he studied philosophy and law at Charles University, Prague. He was the author of publications on law, religion teaching and Hebrew studies. He was the first Jew to hold a full professorship in the Habsburg Monarchy.
