It also contains a Hazkara and fragmentary accounting records of the associated community of Frýdlant nad Ostravicí.
- Archival history:
- The records were incorporated into the archives of the Jewish Museum in Prague during the Second World War as part of shipments of material from Jewish religious communities that had been disbanded.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The presence of a single Jewish family is documented in Frýdek in the 18th century. It was not until the mid-19th century that Jews were allowed to live in Místek. A prayer association for Frýdek and Místek was established after 1864, becoming the Jewish Religious Community of Frýdek in 1893 (within the jurisdiction of Frýdek and Místek). In 1913 it changed its name to the Jewish Religious Community of Frýdek-Místek. It was disbanded by the Nazis during the Second World War and did not subsequently resume its activities.
