- The documents came to the archives of the Jewish Museum in Prague during the Second World War as part of shipments of material from Jewish religious communities that had been disbanded.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Dr. Moritz Eisler (born 1823 in Prostějov, died 1902 in Opava) was a teacher and author of philosophical works. He studied philosophy, pedagogy, history and oriental languages at university in Prague. From 1853 he taught religion and was the headmaster of a school in Mikulov and the organiser of a Moravian-Silesian Jewish teachers' association.
