- The fonds contains manuscripts of theological and historical studies and sermons.
- Archival history:
- The documents came to the archives of the Jewish Museum in Prague during the Second World War as part of shipments of material from Jewish religious communities that had been disbanded.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Dr. Aladar Deutsch (born 1871 in Aroktö, Hungary, died 1949 in Prague) was chief rabbi of Prague. After attending a yeshivah in Frankfurt, he was active in Prague and Cikánov. He later served as rabbi in Prague's Jerusalem Synagogue, from 1930 as acting chief rabbi. For many years he was the chairman of the Afike Jehuda association. From 1943 to 1945 he was incarcerated in the Terezín ghetto. He returned to Prague after the war.
