- Administrative/biographical history:
- The New Synagogue was established as a private house of prayer by Isaac Wechsler at the end of the 16th century. After a fire in 1689 it was rebuilt in 1703 as a private synagogue for the Duschenes family. It burned down again in 1754 and was rebuilt at the expense of David Kuh. Unusually, the synagogue was situated on the upper floor of a street-front building. It was demolished during the urban renewal of Prague's Jewish Town in 1898.
