- The fonds contains the 1896 statutes of the Jewish Religious Community of Karlín, minutes of meetings, election records, correspondence, financial records, the 1901, 1907 and 1926 statutes and records of the burial society (chevra kadisha), fragmentary files of several Jewish associations.
- Archival history:
- The records were sent to the archives of the Jewish Museum in Prague during the Second World War as part of shipments of material from Jewish religious communities that had been disbanded.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- A permanent Jewish settlement in Karlín is documented from 1745 (after the expulsion of Jews from Prague). A Jewish religious community with a prayer house was in existence there before the middle of the 19th century. The community was disbanded by the Nazis during the Second World War and did not subsequently resume its activities.

- The fonds is arranged as follows: books/registers and files of the Jewish community, books/registers and files of the local synagogue, books/registers and files of the burial society (chevra kadisha), books/registers and files of Jewish associations, books/registers and files of associated communities.
