- Administrative/biographical history:
- A sporadic Jewish settlement in Vyškov existed in the 15th and 17th centuries, rapidly expanding in the middle of the 19th century. A Jewish prayer association probably existed there from the 1860s at the latest, becoming a religious community in 1891. The community was disbanded by the Nazis during the Second World War and did not subsequently resume its activities.
