- A minor Jewish settlement in Vimperk is documented from the 17th century. The Jews of Vimperk belonged to the Jewish Religious Community of Čkyně (Tschkin, Kieselhof). It was only in 1899 that the community's seat was transferred to Vimperk. The Vimperk community was disbanded after the annexation of the Sudetenland by Nazi Germany in 1938. It did not resume its activities after the Second World War.
