- The fonds contains a Familiantenbuch (register of Familiants) from19th century, the statutes of the Jewish Religious Community of Velké Meziříčí (1884), filing registers, election records, personnel files, registry records, certificates of domicile, business records, material relating to military matters, construction-related documents, official memoranda, material concerning the relationship between the Jewish political and religious communities, financial and tax records, inventories of property, documents relating to the sale and rental of synagogue seats, a Hazkara, books/registers of a Jewish school, the statutes (1873) and fragmentary files of the burial society (chevra kadisha), and fragmentary documents relating to other Jewish associations/institutions.

- The records were incorporated into the archives of the Jewish Museum in Prague during the Second World War as part of shipments of material from Jewish religious communities that had been disbanded.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Jewish settlement in Velké Meziříčí is reliably documented from the 17th century. A prominent Jewish religious community existed there from the latter half of the 17th century at the latest. A yeshivah and other Jewish institutions were active there in the 19th century. The community was disbanded by the Nazis during the Second World War and did not subsequently resume its activities.
