- The fonds contains a community membership register, records on the bestowal of Familiant status, registry records, personnel files, documents relating to Jewish houses, construction-related documents, official memoranda, financial and tax records, a graves register, books/registers of Jewish associations and institutions.
- Archival history:
- The records came to the archives of the Jewish Museum in Prague from Brno during the Second World War as part of shipments of material from Jewish religious communities that had been disbanded.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- It is assumed that there was a Jewish settlement in Úsov after the middle of the 15th century. A Jewish religious community was in existence there from the middle of the 17th century at the latest. It acquired great importance and size, but the number of Jewish families living there gradually declined from the end of the 19th century. Its seat was transferred to Šumperk (Mährisch Schönberg) in 1929. The Jewish Religious Community of Úsov was disbanded after the annexation of the Sudetenland by Nazi Germany in 1938. It did not resume its activities after the Second World War.
