- Archival history:
- The records were incorporated into the archives of the Jewish Museum in Prague during the Second World War as part of shipments of material from Jewish religious communities that had been disbanded.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The first Jewish families were expelled from Unhošť in 1715. It was not until after the middle of the 19th century that a new and larger settlement was established. A prayer association was founded at the end of the 19th century, becoming part of the Jewish Religious Community of Dobrá (known as Velká Dobrá from 1900) in 1893. In 1897 the seat of this community was transferred to Unhošť and its name was changed to the Jewish Religious Community of Unhošť. The community was disbanded by the Nazis during the Second World War and did not subsequently resume its activities.
