- The fonds contains a register of income and expenditure of the burial society (chevra kadisha) and the correspondence of Dr. S. Jellinek from the town of Napajedla.
- Archival history:
- The records were incorporated into the archives of the Jewish Museum in Prague during the Second World War as part of shipments of material from Jewish religious communities that had been disbanded.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- A medieval Jewish settlement in Uherské Hradiště was disbanded after the expulsion of Jews in 1514. It was not until the middle of the 19th century that Jews were allowed to resettle the town. A new prayer association was established in about 1863 as part of the Jewish Religious Community of Uherský Ostroh, becoming a religious community in 1891. The community was disbanded by the Nazis during the Second World War and did not subsequently resume its activities.
