The minutes of meetings end in 1940 and the burial registers in 1941.
- Archival history:
- The records were incorporated into the archives of the Jewish Museum in Prague during the Second World War as part of shipments of material from Jewish religious communities that had been disbanded.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- A minor Jewish settlement in Tábor is documented from the end of the 16th century. It increased in size in the middle of the 18th century. A Jewish religious community existed there from the 17th century. Tábor was the seat of the regional rabbinate after 1868. The communities of Choustník, Jistebnice and Stádlec were attached to that of Tábor in 1931; the community of Radenín was attached in 1932. The Jewish Religious Community of Tábor was disbanded by the Nazis during the Second World War but subsequently resumed its activities.
