- Administrative/biographical history:
- A small Jewish settlement in Poděbrady is documented from the middle of the 17th century. It expanded significantly after the middle of the 19th century, when it incorporated the settlement of the Jewish community of the neighbouring village of Malé Zboží. The community was disbanded by the Nazis during the Second World War but subsequently resumed its activities.
