Most of the preserved material dates from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Only cash book records and fragmentary correspondence were kept until the early 1940s.
- Archival history:
- The records were incorporated into the archives of the Jewish Museum in Prague during the Second World War as part of shipments of material from Jewish religious communities that had been disbanded.

- A relatively large Jewish settlement in Bučovice is documented from the 16th century. The Jewish community was disbanded by the Nazis during the Second World War and did not subsequently resume its activities.
