- The fonds contains minute meetings, election records, registry records, official memoranda, correspondence, financial records, documents relating to the construction of the local synagogue, a Hazkara, records of the burial society (chevra kadisha), and the cash book of a Jewish school.
- Archival history:
- The records were incorporated into the archives of the Jewish Museum in Prague during the Second World War as part of shipments of material from Jewish religious communities that had been disbanded.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Jewish settlement in Pelhřimov is documented from the latter half of the 16th century. Jews were not allowed to live in the town from 1628 onwards. It was not until the middle of the 19th century that a new settlement began to take shape. A prayer association was founded after 1858. A religious community was established in 1893. It was disbanded by the Nazis during the Second World War and did not subsequently resume its activities.
