- The fonds contains minutes of meetings and financial records of the associated community of Janovice nad Úhlavou (Janowitz an der Angel), fragmentary files and material relating to the election of officials of the associated community of Strážov (Drosau).
- Archival history:
- The records were incorporated into the archives of the Jewish Museum in Prague during the Second World War as part of shipments of material from Jewish religious communities that had been disbanded.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Jewish settlement in Nýrsko is documented from the 17th century. A Jewish religious community existed there from the beginning of the 18th century at the latest. The communities of Janovice nad Úhlavou and Strážov were attached to the Jewish Religious Community of Nýrsko before 1893. The community was disbanded after the annexation of the Sudetenland by Nazi Germany in 1938 and did not resume its activities after the Second World War.
