The State Collections includes a sub-division of Codices, which contains a large number of charters and documents from the period between 1300 and 1805. In terms of Jewish history, the collection contains several documents of interest. These documents primarily deal with conflicts between Jews and the authorities. A document from 1495 reports, among other things, about the peace treaty between Hans Russ and a baptised Jew who is not mentioned by name. Another document from 1704 reports about August Jäggi, a converted Jew in Lucerne, who was 53 years old and in custody at the time. Another baptised Jew, Hans Wilhelm Zeller of Brabant, came into conflict with the law in 1575 and in 1586 Carl Ludwig, a baptised Jew from Freiburg, was prosecuted for swearing. In the same year, a Jew not mentioned by name gave forbidden Chaldean lessons in a backyard. From the years 1611, 1627, 1658 and 1678 documents for Jewish fences from Baden, Allschwil, Rottweil and again Baden exist. A document from 1581 includes a report of a Jew from Riehen near Basel, Liedmann, who came into conflict with the authorities in Lucerne for unknown reasons.

- Most of the documents of this collection were probably in the State Archive when it was founded.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The oldest documents of the State Archive date back to the 9th century, in transcripts from around 1150. The holdings of the archive can be divided into four groups: the administrative records of the city of Lucerne from the 13th to the 18th century, the documents of the cantonal administration and courts since 1798, the archives of the monasteries dissolved in the 19th century and the archives of private persons and institutions such as associations, political parties and industrial or commercial enterprises.
