- The collection includes three obituaries of people connected to the Jewish community of Hohenems: Emilie Bernheimer (née Brettauer, died 9 August 1902), who lived in Trieste with her husband Leopold Bernheimer (died 16 November 1903). The collection also holds the obituaries of Josef Brettauer (died 11 July 1905, Trieste) and Siegmund Freudenfels (died 8 February 1905, Meran).

- The collection Sonderbestände (special collection) holds over 50,000 obituaries and marriage announcements. The collection is a part of the Haus-, Hof- und Staatsarchiv (house, court and state archive) which holds most of the documents produced by the imperial administration and the members of the Habsburg court and covers the period 816–1918.
