- This collection comprises the personal estate of Bertha Ramsauer and documents collected by the VHS-Freundeskreis ("Friends of the VHS [a network of adult education centres]”) and the Bertha-Ramsauer-Stiftung, which document the work of the foundation. Ramsauer’s personal estate includes newspaper articles and excerpts on the subjects such as the First Landtag, Hitler's seizure of power, persecution of Jews.

- Bertha Ramsauer (1884-1947) was one of the early activists of popular adult education in Lower Saxony. In 1926, she founded the Edewecht/Husbäke Volkshochschule (adult education centre).
