- Administrative/biographical history:
- The Oldenburg Chamber of Agriculture was established in 1900 by the Oldenburg Agricultural Society, which was founded in 1818 (see Erw 154). It was initially responsible for the old state of Oldenburg, later as the Weser-Ems Chamber of Agriculture for the district of Weser-Ems. After its temporary dissolution in 1934, the state farmers' association (Landbauernschaft) (see Erw 51) took its place until 1948. On 1 January 2006, the Weser-Ems Chamber of Agriculture was merged with the Hannover Chamber of Agriculture to form the Lower Saxony Chamber of Agriculture.
