- The collection contains material about different Jewish families and concerning Jews in more than 30 towns and communities in southern Lower Saxony, as well as records on the history of Israel Jacobson. Of special interest within the personal papers of Gerhard Ballin is the documentation regarding the jury trial in Braunschweig in 1949 pertaining to the fire of the synagogue in Seesen in November 1938.
