- Of special interest within this collection are the records relating to the issue of travel documents in accordance with article 28 of the Convention of 28 September 1954 on the status of stateless persons and various files concerning Jewish cemeteries in several towns
- Administrative/biographical history:
- In addition to the existing "government presidents" (state district administrative officers) in the former Province of Hannover, in 1946 two new administrators called "administrative presidents" were added to the new state of Lower Saxony, whose regional responsibilities corresponded to the former states of Oldenburg and Braunschweig. These intermediary state authorities were subordinate to the Lower Saxony Minister of the Interior.
