- The collection of the court theatre contains the following material: business diaries, subscription lists, negotiations for engagements, offers from theatres and operas, stage plays, assessment of artists, personal files. Of special interest is the printed score by the author Weis (1862-1944), a Polish Jew.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The State Theatre, founded in 1818 in the city of Braunschweig, became the ducal Court Theatre on 25 March 1826. It has been located in the building of the today's State Theatre since 1861. The chamberlain's office was responsible for the Court Theatre and Court Orchestra until 1828.
