- Of special interest in the collection is the charter of the transfer of 29,000 gold pounds to the princely pawnshop, previously left with chamber agent Israel Jacobson, by the duchess Augusta to Braunschweig-Lüneburg, wife of duke Karl Wilhelm Ferdinand.
- Archival history:
- The collection comes from the Princely Main Archive and contains records of marriage charters, marriage contracts, dowry conveyances, inheritances, and disputes on that account, as well as correspondence. Due to the extensive marriage connections, numerous sources were handed down from other ruling houses and aristocratic families, such as Brandenburg, Denmark, Mecklenburg, Pomerania, Poland, Prussia, Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg, Saxony, the remaining lines of the Guelph house and the imperial house.
