- The collection contains various tax files, including of Jews in general and the synagogue association.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The tax offices are responsible for financial management at regional level. The financial administration was divided between the federal government, the states and the municipalities according to the federal structure. Federal agencies administer tariffs, sales and transportation taxes, excise taxes and the burden-offsetting levies that can be transferred to state financial authorities by way of administrative order. The tax offices, as state tax authorities according to article 105-108 of the constitution (GG), levy and manage the other federal taxes (capital movement tax, insurance tax, exchange tax, fixed-term financial contributions, as well as community taxes), which are the jurisdiction of the federal government.
