- The collection contains records relating to seizure procedures and restitution of assets, including: Reich Association of Jews, foundations, Jewish cemeteries and synagogues (in particular costs for restoration and maintenance), including: circulars, notes, briefings and telephone notices; individual procedures; additions and amendments to the rules of procedure (copy); other kinds of rental of synagogues; seizure and restitution: General Jewish Trust Company, including: mortgages of former Jewish foundations or other Jewish mortgages; excerpt from "Die Gesetzgebung Adolf Hitlers" ["The legislation of Adolf Hitler"]; maintenance of Jewish objects of worship in the ownership of the former Reich Association of Jews, seizure procedures and restitution: seizure procedures and restitution: lump sum settlements to the Jewish Trust Corporation (JTC); seizure procedure and restitution: seizure procedure.

- By instruction No. 1 of 27 November 1947 the British military government ordered that certain tasks of controlling the assets blocked under Military Government Law No. 52 should be carried out by German services in the future. Thus, the "Niedersächsisches Landesamt für die Beaufsichtigung gesperrten Vermögens" (Lower Saxony State Office for the Supervision of Blocked Assets) was established by the State Ministerial Decision of 30 December 1947, issued on the basis of these instructions for the handling of asset control matters. Until then, these tasks had been performed directly by the responsible department of the military government (asset control). The state office was under the supervision and technical instructions of the Lower Saxony Minister of Finance. In particular, it regulated the organisation, qualification and recruitment and dismissal of the staff of the state office and the district offices.
