The collection contains records dealing with: general administrative matters; personal files; guarantees; hunting; forestry and livestock matters; peat lands; construction and hydraulic engineering; inventories; tavern trade; merchant; trade; services; inheritance dues; customs; duties and road money; ferries; mills; fisheries; beekeeping matters; leases; tithe matters; brickworks; estates matters; community and forest divisions; regional court matters; trials; household lease matters; shepherding; surveying; border matters; ratifications of revenues and expenditures.
Of special interest to Jewish history are: applications by the Jew Meyer Popper and his associates in Hildesheim because of the demanded market levy during the Hannover annual fair; the handing over of 69 square roods 44 square feet of household land to the Jewish residents of Coppenbrügge; the Jewish hostel, built outside the Steintor gate; the designation of a space from the common land near Neustadt as a burial place for the Jews; Ludolph Lorenz Wöhler allowed the extension of a garden house near Judenkirchhof; the place designated to the Jewish inhabitants of Hannover for the enlargement of their churchyard outside the Steintor gate and the rent charge to be paid thereof; the trial of the Jewish butchers in the administrative district of Polle for supplying ox tongues; order of the resigning forestry officer Freckmann in Lüntorf and his official conduct; also the confiscation of his salary because of the claim of the Israelite Philipson in Kemnade; the request of the Israelite Benedix Schloß in Börry and the approval to acquire the lord of Redeke's cottager position in Börry; the purchase of the cottager position permitted to the Israelite Levy in Hohenbostel; the application of the synagogue association of Linden for the handing-over of a domanial property as the site of a burial ground; the transfer of 17 square roods 10 square feet of land from the demesne of Aerzen as the burial place to the synagogue association of Aerzen; the sale of parts of the former post office building on Bergstrasse to the synagogue association in Hannover.

- The two holdings Hann. 88 A and B comprise the special documents created by the chamber, then the domain chamber, pertaining to the administrative districts of the provinces of Calenberg (Hann. 88 A), Hoya and Diepholz (Hann. 88 B), which together formed the bailiwick (Landdrostei) of Hannover.
