The collection contains documents relating to feudal matters, official administration, sovereign matters, border, domain, estate, taxes, levies and services, forestry and hunting, military, police, state economics, division, redemptions, road and water construction, Jewish matters, church and school.
Of special interest to Jewish history are the following: the equivalent to be paid by the Jews in the principality of Hildesheim to the Christian clergy for surplice fees; a Hebrew old testament for oath taking by Jews; redemption of the inheritance interest to be paid annually on an acre of land in Einbeck, the debtor being the Hospital St. Spiritus in Einbeck and the creditor the Magistrate in Goslar, on behalf of the S.S. Simonis et Judae convent; regulations and announcements concerning Jewish inhabitants, lists of births, marriages and deaths of Jewish inhabitants with lists of names; Jewish civil status lists from Erichsburg, directories of the births, marriages and deaths of Jewish inhabitants (name lists from 1844 ff.); Jewish deaths in Amelsen; establishment of an educational institution for Jewish teachers; Jewish schooling in Lüthorst and the employment of teachers; Jewish schooling; synagogue; election and swearing in of Jewish leaders, accountants and other Jewish municipal officials, including record keepers.
