- Archival history:
- The following older administrative units were established in the Burgdorf administrative district, which was enlarged in 1852 and 1859: the original Burgdorf administrative district, part of Meinersen administrative district (bailiwick of Uetze) and the Ilten administrative district. It should be kept in mind that the larger and older part of the files of the bailiwick and the administrative district of Ilten were drawn up separately and developed their own finding aids. Both collections, Hann. 74 Burgdorf-Ilten and Hann. 74 Burgdorf, are to be used for the Ilten area.
