- Of special interest within this collection are: complaint by the magistrates of Hannover-Altstadt about unlawful proceedings of the department of justice in its inquest against the Jew Leyser Levi and therefore remedy sought with the territory; question whether the Jewish tax prescribed in the treasury obligation of 1618 came into effect; introduction of an annual tax for Jews to reduce the war debt, including: statistics on the number of "protected Jews" ("Schutzjuden") living in the principalities of Calenberg, Göttingen and Grubenhagen.
- Archival history:
- Deposit 7 covers the older archival documents of the Calenberg Grubenhagen territory of Hannover; it was handed over to the Lower Saxony State Archives of Hannover in accordance with the treaty of 1892. It covers the period of 1367 (original documents) and 1526 (files) and 1590 (invoices and register) until 1810/1811. Individual newer files (until 1897) were probably delivered by chance. It comprises the so-called old, medium and newer registered registry of the territorial estates until 1748, 1777 and 1810/1811.
