- This collection includes meeting minutes of the association for contemporary issues of the Knights of St. John in northern Germany: Nr. 58: Christians and Jews (1980-83).
- Administrative/biographical history:
- This collection documents the modern tradition of the Protestant Knights of St. John and their system of religious orders in Lower Saxony. It was founded as a brotherhood in the eleventh century by merchants from Amalfi for the care of Jerusalem pilgrims. During the Crusades, it became a spiritual order of knights approved by the Pope, the Order of Knights of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem.
