- The collection contains: certificates; recesses; manuscripts; files on imperial and state affairs; military matters; finances; judicial matters; burial, church and school matters; police matters; divisions; agriculture; hunting and forestry matters; trade; unemployment insurance and welfare facilities; community practice (see also collection Dep 118 B). Of special interest to Jewish history are: administrative documents of the town of Eldagsen concerning the treatment of Jews (17th to 20th century), in particular: persecution of the Jews during the time of National Socialism, passports, investigations into “racial history”, expulsion, work assignments.

- Due to insufficient security and custody, the administrative committee of the city decided in March 1983 to transfer the archive of the former town of Eldagsen to the main state archives in Hannover, branch office of Pattensen.
