- Of special interest within this collection: duke Otto gives to his godchild (paden) Anna, canoness in Wenden, whom he converted from Judaism to the Christian faith and placed in the monastery in the care of the Gese Goltsmedes, during both of their lifetimes a pension of 1 mark from the Maibede (May duty) in Weende; duke Otto enfeoffs Hennig Eylers, son of the late Brand Elers, with part to the 2 1/2 marks of the Jews in Braunschweig; duke Otto enfeoffed Hennig and Hans Elers, sons of Brand Elers, citizens in Braunschweig, with part to the 2 1/2 marks money from the Jews in Braunschweig, with which they are also enfeoffed by duke Bernhard; note on the form and content of the great Jewish oath in the principality of Göttingen; duke Otto frees all Jews who tend to wander through his country in return for a payment of 20 guilders; note: Heinemann the Jew and his son, are supposed to pay the duke 1 mark a year when they are in Münden.
- Archival history:
- The collection represents the small remnants or newly added pieces of the collection of cartularies and registers, which were largely burned in 1943. The once important archive collection of cartularies, like the collection of manuscripts, was destroyed in World War II. Since then the collection has been complemented to a small extent with transfers from correspondence archives, new acquisitions and isolated third-party records.
