The collection contains foreign matters (contracts, alliances, sales, pledges) and forms the core of the archival record together with the collection Celle Or 9. Important foreign provenances are the Guelph line of Harburg and counts of Everstein.
Of special interest to Jewish history are: Duke Julius allows the Jews in the principality of Wolfenbüttel to settle; Engelhart, lord in Weinsberg, court judge of king Rupprecht, orders all Jews belonging to the area of the Jewish cemetery of Salzwedel to pay the dukes Bernhard and Heinrich the protection money previously withheld that king Rupprecht has lent to them. They are to pay until Pentecost (15 May), otherwise they are to answer before the court on Friday nearest the feast of St. John (1 July), lest he threaten them with the ban; last will of the duchess Elizabeth.
- Archival history:
- The original order according to ‘pertinence’ alphabet, such as places (among others, Brandenburg, archdiocese and city of Bremen, Hamburg, Hesse, bishopric and city of Hildesheim, Holstein, Lippe, Lübeck, Magdeburg, Mainz, Mecklenburg, Minden, Pope, (Electoral) Saxony, Saxony-Lauenburg, Sweden, bishopric and the city of Verden) and subjects (including alliances, Landfrieden ["territorial peace"], privileges, requiem masses, customs duties) was replaced by a chronological order.
