- Of special interest is the file regarding the privy councils of Hannover, including records relating to excise duties to be paid by the clergy at Osterode on their taxable goods, also the excise duty of the craftsmen, brewers and Jews there.

- The present collection of the registry of the territorial estates of the principality mainly dates from the 17th century, with only a few items from the 16th century and one from 1703. The files originate from the departments of justice in Hannover, Osterode, Celle and Wolfenbüttel as well as from permanent registers.
