- The collection of the Schleswig-Holstein Ministry of Social Affairs includes restitution files which were collected there after the Second World War. Schleswig-Holstein citizens who suffered personal or economic damage during National Socialist rule were able to apply for restitution, usually as a one-off or recurring payment of a sum of money. The exact amount would depend on the degree of damage done. The collection contains 18,630 files of restitution trials.
