Scope and content:: The collection comprises material from the archives of Prussian administration in the province of Schleswig-Holstein ranging from 1867 to 1946. The collection includes seven files relevant for Jewish history. Three of them contain material from various congregations in Schleswig-Holstein concerning religious rite, synagogues and cemeteries. They comprise general material about Jews in the Prussian state of Schleswig-Holstein, e.g. bills and assignments concerning Jewish religious life. The files also include inquiries to and requests by single Jewish congregations concerning specific events, changes in legal status etc. The collection also contains material about private and public Jewish schools in the province of Schleswig-Holstein, e.g. about the payment of Jewish teachers, tuition fees etc.

Archival history:: The records in this collection came to the archive as part of the regular document transfer process. During the Second World War the collection was partly destroyed during an air raid, so that most of the material from the 1920s to 1940s is missing or incomplete.
