- The collection comprises material from the duchy of Lauenburg (Herzogtum Lauenburg), which existed from the 13th century until 1876. Register No. 210 contains the documents of the duchy government, which was the central public authority of the duchy. The governmental material includes four files relevant for Jewish history: File No. 4095 contains the written form of an oath sworn by Jews at court, file No. 2189 contains the business licenses for Jewish craftsmen in Lauenburg, file No. 2394 is a request by Jewish merchant Lazarus Salomon asking for permission to trade in the town of Ratzeburg, file No. 2627 contains police material about begging Jews and foreigners.
