The collection comprises the state authority's material from the Prussian governmental district of Stralsund with its four sub-districts Franzburg, Grimmen, Rügen, Stralsund and Greifswald. The collection contains 19 files of relevant material.
No. 377 contains statistics about local Jewry, including the Jewish population, Jewish businesses and synagogues.
Nos. 378-380 comprise general material about the settlement of Jews in the district region.
No. 383 includes an issue of the Jewish newspaper “Der Israelit“ from 1842.
No. 1779 contains material about Jewish merchants resident in the town of Damgarten and their annual fees.
No. 2224 comprises documents from a trust run by the Jewish citizen Moses Lazarus Israel.
The most relevant section is contained in files No. 3085-3093. These files comprise the written records of the local Jewish population. This includes material about local synagogues (No. 3085), about education of Jewish children (No. 3086), 3091, 3092) and interaction between Jews and Christians (3087, 3089).
